Dear Ms. Ramos:
As Adviser of the Secretariat Class of the Institute of Accounts, East Pacific University, I am very desirous of having my students buy their required textbooks. I am writing to you, because I know that you can best furnish me with the necessary books that my students needs, but they cannot have at once because they lack the cash.
May I request the privilege of a maximum credit of five hundred dollars ($1000) for such books as I shall, from time to time, order from you?
While I do not have any savings account in any of the banks in the city, neither do I have personal properties which I can offer as security, I am, nevertheless, a full-time professor in the East Pacific University, with a salary of $12,000 a month.
Dean Anna Mhay Aquino of the Institute of Accounts, and Mr. Rene Montano, Treasurer, both of the East Pacific University, will tell you of my character and capacity as a man and as an employee, if you will write or call them.
Should you grant me a credit account, I shall make payments on or before the fifteenth day of every month.
Thank you for giving this matter your prompt attention.
Sincerely yours,
Dr. Ramon Estrada
